Update #1: After further analysis, we will continue to generate OHC products from the other inputs (Blended SST, Cryosat, Sentinel) during the Jason orbital maneuvers. Yesterday’s product delay was due to a late arrival of inputs which happened to coincide with the start of the Jason maneuvers. It was successfully rerun at 2345Z on 6/3/2025.

Topic:  Blended Ocean Heat Content (OHC) products outage

Date/Time Issued:  June 04, 2025 18:29Z

Product(s) or Data Impacted: All BLENDED OHC products.

Date/Time of Initial Impact:  June 03, 2025 1300Z

Date/Time of Expected End:  TBD

Length of Event:  TBD

Details/Specifics of Change:

OHC jobs running today are failing - the  algorithm has not produced all

expected output files. This is likely related to Jason-3 maneuvers.

Jason-3 will be changing its orbit and will no longer be in tandem with

Sentinel-6A. Jason will execute a series of maneuvers, which started

at 1800Z 6/2/2025, and will continue up to June 16.

During the move, Jason-3 will not produce any Sea Surface Height measurements.

As these are a required input to OHC, this product will be offline until Jason-3 settles into its new orbit.
