REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. NOTE that this image is 72 hours old, delayed due to a technical malfunction. The anomaly extended west for approximately 28 nmi and was 0.4 nmi wide on average. There was good contrast against the ocean background and it exhibited well defined edges. Wind data is unavailable to the significant lag in time.


UNCERTAINTIES: There is uncertainty in the full extent of the possible oil anomaly, as it stretched beyond the satellite scene.
