REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. There were two areas of anomaly. The larger anomaly was attached to the suspected point source, and was measured 29nm long and 0.25nm wide for the most part. Part of the anomaly had silver shimmer, which indicated thicker oil. The smaller anomaly was 3.2nm long and mostly dark in color and located NW from the suspected point source. The winds were 5kts out of the East.



UNCERTAINTIES: The anomaly had the color and characters of oil slick, and was attached to a nearby oil facility. Thus our confidence is high. The anomaly was also seen on a Radarsat image on 04/28 0000UTC, and was recently analyzed by our analysts. A NRC report #1244010 was based on that analysis.
