REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly extended approximately 1.55 nmi to the north from the site of the sunken Cudahy shipwreck, a known repeat oil leak source, and was up to 0.08 nmi in width. It appeared dark in color and and stood out well against the ocean background. Measured winds at the time of image were 10 kts and from the north. Confidence was determined to be high given the association with a repeat leak source and visible chromatic characteristics.

UNCERTAINTIES:
There were false positives in the scene and the wind direction was not well-aligned with the anomaly. Despite these factors, the repeat leak nature of the suspected source allowed for high confidence that this was oil.
