REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was believed to be an oil slick that emanated from the destroyed Taylor site. The slick was spread across an area that was 3 nm long and 1.3 nm wide. The slick was black and exhibited feathering in agreement with ESE winds at 5-10 kts at the time of the image. Several false positives related to cloud shadows on the ocean surface were located in the vicinity of the slick.

UNCERTAINTIES: Due to the gaps within the dispersed slick on the ocean surface and the present or cirrus clouds in the area, the calculated areal extent in this report is only a rough approximation of the total oiled surface.
