REMARKS: 
Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery and this anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. This anomaly was observed moving north away from an oil facility located in Mississippi Canyon Block 778. This anomaly appears dark and against the ocean background with smaller silver area embedded; this smaller “sliver” area resembles oil in sun glint conditions. Winds during the time of this anomaly were out of the south at 10-15kts and agree with the direction of travel for this anomaly. This anomaly has been assigned a Medium-High confidence due to its connection to a point source, the appearance of the anomaly and its agreement with the local conditions when the satellite image was taken. 

UNCERTAINTIES:
Given the high resolution of this satellite image this anomaly could be the result of a cleaning material or a byproduct released into the ocean.
