REMARKS: Possible, unconfirmed oil was observed in satellite imagery.  The slick was dark in appearance, had well defined edges, and was located in the West Delta area of the Gulf of Mexico. The slick did not appear to emanate from an oil platform, however numerous oil pipelines were in the immediate vicinity of the slick location. The slick was approximately 2.023nm in length and 0.25nm in width. Winds were out of the SE at 13kts which aligned well with the northern trajectory of the slick.



UNCERTAINTIES: No point source was identified with the slick and no known reports of a spill were located. This limits our confidence to medium for this report.
