REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The linear slick was seen roughly 39.77 nm SE from Miami, FL in U.S. waters and continued over the U.S. EEZ border. It was approximately 16.53 nm long and approx. 0.34 nm at its widest. The linear dark slick widened appreciably with distance toward one end. It also had well defined edges and a strong contrast against its surroundings. Winds near the time of the image were coming from the SE between 5-10 kts. which aligned well with the orientation of the anomaly.
