REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The slick was approximately 2.66 nm long and approx. 0.92 nm at its widest. The anomaly had a very faint white/shimmer center which indicated relatively thicker oil. It was distinguishable from natural phenomena and had moderate contrast against the ocean background. Winds near the time of the image were coming from the E at 9 kts.



UNCERTAINTIES: There were pipelines within the vicinity of the slick that could have possibly been the point source.
