REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The linear slick was located 5.20 nm E from the U.S. EEZ border and 60.45 nm SE from Miami, FL. It was approximately 7.53 nm long and approx. 0.15 nm wide. The dark colored anomaly had well defined edges and a strong contrast against the ocean background. Winds near the time of the image were coming from the W at 5 kts.



UNCERTAINTIES: The anomaly did not widen appreciably with distance towards one end which lowered our confidence determining if it was a possible bilge dump. There were two vessels approx. 3.20 nm - 7.70 nm south of the slick that could have been a possible point source.
