REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was in the Ship Shoal area approximately 55 NM offshore Louisiana and the source appeared to be the Mon Forte facility in block 291. The anomaly was long and very thin, extending to the northwest of the source for 2.6 NM. Winds at the time were 12 kt. 

UNCERTAINTIES: The anomaly only diverged slightly from natural surface current/wind patterns, but given the repeat leak source in Ship Shoal 291 the level of confidence in this report remains high.
