REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was likely remnant oil associated with NOAA Responselink Hotline 10964 in Garden Island Bay, Louisiana, an ongoing wellhead blowout identified as the point source in this report. The anomaly appeared stringy and patchy throughout the bay, extending for 3.2 NM from roughly north to south and 1 NM across, east to west. There were multiple patches drifting east out of the Bay, and a longer isolated segment that measured approximately 3.7 NM long. The movement east away from the source in the Bay aligns with reported west winds at 12 kts. 

UNCERTAINTIES: The extent of the anomaly was roughly estimated as the possible oil became indistinguishable from natural phenomena in the marsh and along the coast as you move inland.
