REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The area of possible oil was observed in the Main Pass region and spanned an area that was approximately 7.1nm by 3.4nm. The area generally appeared darker than the surrounding scene but did exhibit a few pockets of a brighter white color. This may have been an indication of relatively thicker oil. Due to the factors described above and since a point source could not be determined, the confidence level was held at Medium-High. Winds at the time of the imagery were S at approximately 5-10kts. 

UNCERTAINTIES: There were numerous oil facilities in the area but the possible oil could not be confidently linked to one. There were recent NRC reports in the general vicinity of the Main Pass region, but none were collocated with this specific area.
