REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The linear slick was located near an oil facility in the Ship Shoal area and measured approximately 4.0 nm in length, and 0.17 nm at the widest point. The very SW portion of the anomaly was silvery in appearance, indicating possible thicker oil. It was also distinct from natural phenomena and did not test positive for vegetation. Winds near the time of the image were out of the SE at 11 kts. 

UNCERTAINTIES: While the anomaly appeared to be in close proximity to the suspected source, there were also oil pipelines located in the vicinity that the slick may have possibly originated from. Additionally, the full extent of the slick was uncertain due to false positives in the area including cloud cover, and biogenic materials observed.
