REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was in the Breton Sound area of Louisiana and appeared dark against the background with a brighter and likely thicker oil signature closer to a possible source facility in Quarantine Bay. The anomaly was dark and wound north from this facility for approximately 15 NM before snaking to the west another 3 NM. Winds were from the south at 12 kts.

UNCERTAINTIES: The full extent of possible oil could not be delineated due to cloud cover near the source. The clouds may also have obscured an additional contributing facility as there were multiple wells and platforms in the area.
