REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The slick was located in the Mid Atlantic area, approximately 180 nm E of Virginia. It measured approximately 6.6 nm in length and 0.6 nm at the widest point. The anomaly included parts with sharp contrast to the surrounding ocean surface, was distinct from natural phenomena, and exhibited a feathering appearance on the W portion of the slick. Winds near the time of image were out of the SW at 15 kts, that align with the trajectory of the slicks observed feathering. 

UNCERTAINTIES: No source of the anomaly could be determined as no oil facilities or vessels were observed in the area.
