REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The suspected oil slick attributed to ship pollution stretched 68.5 nmi behind a vessel. The slick was segmented, featured sharp edges and was darkly contrasted to the surrounding ocean surface. Due to these characteristics, the confidence level is high. The surface wind was approximately 5-10 knots from the southwest at the time of the image.
