Topic:
AVHRR visible coefficient update for month of August
Date/Time(UTC) Message Issued:
30 July 2003, 1845 UTC
Satellite(s) Involved:
NOAA-16
Instrument(s) Involved:

Product(s) Involved/Affected:
All products using channels 1 and 2
Date/Time(UTC) of Initial Implementation:
12 August 2003, Time TBD UTC
Details/Specifics of Change:
The new calibration coefficients for NOAA-16 AVHRR Channel 1 & 2 for August
2003 are:
Ch_1_lo = .05303*count - 2.044, count<498.96
Ch_1_hi = 0.1549*count - 52.63, count>498.96
Ch_2_lo = .05745*count - 2.176, count<500.16
Ch_2_hi = 0.1691*count - 57.90, count>500.16
where COUNT is raw 10-bit count. These coefficients are expected to be
