DESCRIPTIVE TEXT NARRATIVE FOR SMOKE/DUST OBSERVED IN SATELLITE IMAGERY
SMOKE: Northwest Canada... Wildfires in northeastern British Columbia continued to disperse light to locally-moderate density smoke which drifted northeast across northwestern Alberta and southern Northwest Territories. Mexico/Central United States/Northeastern United States… An area of light density smoke was seen over central Mexico extending west into the Pacific Ocean south of Baja and east into the southern Gulf of America, and was moving north along the western coast into New Mexico and Texas and central United States before moving east towards New England and into the Atlantic. Small plumes of moderate to heavy smoke were seen throughout western Mexico. Two areas of moderate smoke were also observed, from eastern Nebraska to Wisconsin, and following a storm front from Illinois to the Atlantic.
