SMOKE: Alaska/Canada/Western and Eastern United States/Atlantic Ocean... Wildfire activity across Alaska and northwestern Canada continued to generate widespread light smoke which spread south along the west side of the Rockies into Nevada, and east into the Atlantic. Light density smoke spread from Alaska and western Canada across the continent into the Atlantic. Smoke moved offshore and south, with some circling back toward the east coast of the United States and accumulating across the southeast. Southwestern United States/Northwest Mexico... Fires in northern Baja were producing moderate smoke which moved northeast over southern California and western Arizona, and joined with moderate to thick smoke from fires in southwestern Utah. The smoke continued northeast, merged with widespread smoke from Canada and Alaska, and moved toward the Atlantic.
